How to add CleanProxies to BitBrowser

In BitBrowser, go to Browsers → Add, set the proxy method to Custom Proxy, choose HTTP as the proxy type and fill in Host, Port, Username and Password from your CleanProxies dashboard. Click Proxy Detection, then save the window.

What you need

BitBrowser calls each profile a browser window and is built for teams: windows sit in groups, staff get roles and permissions, and proxies can be stored once in Proxy IP Management and bound to windows. Bind each window to its own dedicated CleanProxies ISP IP and every account keeps one clean US address.

Your credential line

From the dashboard's proxy manager: host (or IP), port, username and password. Convert lists with the proxy list formatter.

BitBrowser ready

  • The BitBrowser client installed and signed in.
  • For the Local API sample: Python with requests, and the Local API url and port from BitBrowser's Settings.

Which proxy fits BitBrowser?

Both products use the same setup in BitBrowser. What changes is how long an IP stays with you.

Recommended. One dedicated US ISP IP per window keeps every account on its own address all month, and unlimited bandwidth means long sessions and synced windows never hit a data cap.

starting from$0.75/IP

Dedicated static IPs registered to US and Canadian ISPs. The address stays the same for as long as you hold it, with unlimited bandwidth and HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 access.

Generate sticky residential lines for the country you target and bind one per window for shorter jobs. A Proxy IP Blacklist entry for heavy, non-account domains can save residential GB, but never for the site you're logged in to.

starting from$0.63/GB

Residential IPs in 190+ countries with country, state and city targeting. Rotate on every request or hold a sticky session for up to 90 minutes; GB never expire.

credentials

Your CleanProxies credentials

Every product connects over HTTP(S); static ISP and ISP subnet proxies also run SOCKS5 and IP whitelisting. This is what the dashboard gives you to paste into BitBrowser.

Static ISP and ISP subnetHTTP(S)SOCKS5IP whitelist
IP:PORT:USER:PASS

One line per dedicated IP. With IP whitelisting on, the line is just IP:PORT and no password is sent.

Rotating residential and mobileHTTP(S)User:pass
HOST:PORT:USER:PASS

Generated in the proxy manager. The username carries the location and session you pick, so generate a new list to change them.

As a URL, for code and most toolshttp://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORTsocks5://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT

Use http:// even for HTTPS websites; the TLS session still runs end to end. The socks5:// form is for static ISP and ISP subnet proxies.

How to set up CleanProxies in BitBrowser

Four steps, then check the exit IP with the free proxy checker.

  1. 1

    Add a browser window

    Go to Browsers → Add. Fill in Browser Name, Group and Platform (the site the window opens on).

  2. 2

    Choose Custom Proxy

    In the proxy section, select Custom Proxy and set the proxy type to HTTP. Socks5 works for ISP proxies once SOCKS5 is switched on for that list in the CleanProxies dashboard; HTTPS and SSH aren't needed.

  3. 3

    Fill in the fields

    Enter Host, Port, Username and Password from your dashboard line. Leave any refresh URL empty: it's for proxies that change IP through a link.

  4. 4

    Run Proxy Detection and save

    Pick an IP look up service (IP-API, IP123) and click Proxy Detection. Once it succeeds, save the window and open it.

Set the proxy through the Local API

Create a window (Python)Python
import requests

# Copy the Local API url and port from BitBrowser's Settings
api = "http://127.0.0.1:54345"

profile = {
    "name": "us-isp-01",
    "browserFingerPrint": {},  # empty = random fingerprint
    "proxyMethod": 2, # your own proxy (3 = extract IP)
    "proxyType": "http", # or "socks5" for SOCKS5-enabled ISP lists
    "host": "HOST",
    "port": PORT,
    "proxyUserName": "USERNAME",
    "proxyPassword": "PASSWORD",
}

r = requests.post(f"{api}/browser/update", json=profile).json()
print(r["data"]["id"] if r["success"] else r["msg"])
  • To move an existing window to a new IP, post only the proxy fields and its ids to /browser/update/partial. Settings also has a Proxy IP Blacklist: domains on it skip the proxy and use your own connection, so never list a site your accounts log in to.

Store proxies in Proxy IP Management

  • Left menu Proxy IP → Proxy IP Management tab. The dropdown offers Add Proxy and Batch Add Proxy; the batch window explains the line format on its right side.
  • Batch Proxy Testing checks every selected proxy in turn, so dead lines stand out before you bind them.
  • Lines whose type and details match an existing entry are skipped as duplicates.
  • The Bind Window icon in the list attaches a saved proxy to a window in one click. Bind one ISP IP to one window.

Create many windows from the Excel template

Browsers → Batch Import → download the template. Put http (or socks5 for SOCKS5-enabled ISP lists) in the proxy type column and the proxy info as HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD, then save the file and import it.

To change proxies on windows you already have, export them, edit the proxy columns and upload the file with Batch Update. Don't edit or delete the ID column, or BitBrowser can't match the rows.

Troubleshooting BitBrowser proxy errors

Verify your exit IP

Proxy Detection shows whether the line connects and where the IP is placed. The country can differ between lookup services; BitBrowser's own advice is that the IP is what counts. Open the window and confirm the address on what is my IP before logging in.

Open What is my IP? through the proxy to see the address and headers a website receives, or paste up to ten lines into the free proxy checker to test connectivity, latency and exit IP.

Still stuck? Our 24/7 support team answers fast: contact us with the error and the line you used (leave the password out).

BitBrowser error fixes
  • Proxy Detection failsWhy: Wrong proxy type, or Socks5 chosen for a residential line or an ISP list without SOCKS5 switched on.Use HTTP for the standard line and re-enter Host, Port, Username and Password from the dashboard.
  • Detection passes but pages won't openWhy: BitBrowser notes this usually comes from the local network blocking the route to the proxy.Try another network, and test the line with the proxy checker to rule out the proxy itself.
  • One site sees your real IPWhy: Its domain is in the Proxy IP Blacklist, so it uses your local network.Remove the domain from Settings → Proxy IP Blacklist.
  • The site flags a new profile anywayWhy: The same IP is shared by several profiles, or the fingerprint's timezone and language don't match the IP.Give every profile its own dedicated ISP IP and let the browser match timezone, geolocation and WebRTC to the proxy.
  • 407 or an authentication prompt inside the profileWhy: The password was pasted with a trailing space, or the line was split in the wrong order.Paste the full HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD line again from the dashboard.
