Best Smartproxy (Decodo) Alternatives in 2026: 6 Providers Compared

Team CleanProxies
20 Min Read

Updated 1 November 2026: every price and policy below was read from each provider's public pricing page on this date, with screenshots.

The best Smartproxy alternative in 2026 is CleanProxies. Smartproxy now trades as Decodo, and whichever name you know it by, the bill works the same way: monthly plans that start at $3.75/GB for residential and only reach $2/GB on a 1 TB enterprise plan. CleanProxies rotating residential proxies go as low as $0.63/GB, are paid once and never expire. For static work our US ISP proxies start as low as $0.75/IP with unlimited bandwidth, and mobile data goes as low as $0.79/GB.

This guide is for teams already running on Smartproxy/Decodo, or comparing it before they buy. We read the pricing pages of Decodo and five other well-known providers on 1 November 2026, took screenshots, and priced the same three workloads on each: 100 GB and 1,000 GB of rotating residential traffic, and 100 GB of mobile data. We also put Decodo's dedicated ISP plans next to ours, because that is where most Smartproxy users pay the most per IP.

TL;DR

  • CleanProxies is the #1 Smartproxy (Decodo) alternative. The cheapest pricing in the market: residential as low as $0.63/GB, US ISP as low as $0.75/IP, mobile as low as $0.79/GB, ISP /24 subnets from $1.19/IP. Residential and mobile data never expires.

  • Like-for-like, we cost less on every workload we priced. 1,000 GB of residential is $840 one-time with us versus $2,000 a month on Decodo's 1 TB plan; 100 GB of mobile is $179 versus $275 a month at Decodo's current 50%-off rate.

  • Static IPs are where the gap is widest. Decodo's dedicated ISP plans list $2.50/IP at 200 IPs and "from $2/IP" in its plan comparison; CleanProxies dedicated US ISP IPs are $1.29/IP/month at 250 and as low as $0.75/IP/month, with 100Gbps ports, under 20 ms latency, 99.9% uptime and unlimited bandwidth and threads.

  • The other five: IPRoyal, Webshare, Oxylabs, Bright Data and SOAX all cost more than CleanProxies on every workload in our scorecard where they publish a comparable plan, and most sell monthly allowances or credits that reset or expire.

Smartproxy is now Decodo: what changed and what didn't

Smartproxy rebranded as Decodo in 2025, and today smartproxy.com answers with a permanent (301) redirect to decodo.com, which we checked on 1 November 2026. Existing dashboards, plans and integrations moved to the new name, which is why people still search for "Smartproxy alternatives", "Smartproxy pricing" and "Decodo alternatives" for the same product.

What didn't change is the pricing model. On 1 November Decodo's residential page reads, in its own words, that monthly subscriptions run from $3.75/GB (3 GB) to $2.75/GB (100 GB), enterprise plans from $2.50/GB (250 GB) to $2/GB (1 TB), and Pay As You Go is $4/GB.

Decodo's regular residential plans, billed monthly plus VAT; the headline 'starting at just $2/GB' refers to the 1 TB enterprise plan. Screenshot: decodo.com/proxies/residential-proxies/pricing, 1 November 2026.

The reasons teams look for a Smartproxy alternative follow from that page:

  1. The low rate needs a big monthly commitment. $2/GB is the 1 TB enterprise plan, billed every month. A team using 100 GB pays $2.75/GB.

  2. Plans are monthly, not a balance. The page says Pay As You Go is bought one GB at a time from the Wallet, and you can't hold a monthly plan and Pay As You Go at the same time.

  3. Dedicated static IPs are expensive. Decodo's dedicated ISP plans list $3.33/IP for 3 IPs down to $2.50/IP for 200 IPs, billed monthly plus VAT.

  4. Mobile is on a promo. Mobile plans currently show 50% off: $3.75/GB on 2 GB down to $2.75/GB on 100 GB, against list prices of $7.50 to $5.50/GB.

How we compared

On 1 November 2026 we opened each provider's public pricing page without logging in, read plan sizes, per-GB and per-IP prices, billing model, expiry rules and trial terms, and captured the competitor screenshots in this article that day. For each provider we then looked up the listed price closest to three workloads (100 GB and 1,000 GB of rotating residential traffic, 100 GB of mobile data), and marked a cell "not listed" when no such plan is published. For static IPs we compared Decodo's dedicated ISP plans with CleanProxies' at a similar IP count.

What we did not do: we did not buy competitor plans or log in to their dashboards, and we did not run speed or success-rate tests against other networks, so there are no competitor performance numbers here. Speed and uptime figures that competitors print on their own pages are theirs, not ours. CleanProxies network figures (100Gbps ports, under 20 ms latency, 99.9% uptime) are our published specs. Our delivery time comes from our own order records: 15 live ISP orders in October 2026 went from payment confirmed to proxies active in 6 to 19 seconds. The CleanProxies product screenshots were taken on 31 October 2026 and the prices in them are unchanged.

What the table shows: at 100 GB, Decodo costs 2.8× what CleanProxies does ($275 vs $99), and that $275 comes back every month. At 1,000 GB the difference is $1,160 on the first month alone. Mobile at 100 GB is $179 with us against $275 at Decodo's promotional rate; at its $5.50 list price the same 100 GB would be $550.

Key numbers from the pages we read

  • Decodo lists 115M+ residential IPs in 195+ locations and 10M+ mobile IPs from 700+ carriers in 160+ locations (residential, mobile).

  • Decodo's dedicated ISP ladder: 3 IPs $3.33, 10 IPs $2.9, 20 IPs $2.8, 50 IPs $2.7, 100 IPs $2.6, 200 IPs $2.5 per IP per month, plus VAT (ISP pricing).

  • Bright Data shows its residential plans with a 50%-off code for 3 months; list prices are $8/GB pay as you go and $7 to $5/GB on plans (pricing).

  • SOAX's credit plans run $200, $500, $1,500 and $3,000 a month plus VAT, with a 60-day credit rollover (pricing).

  • CleanProxies residential runs from 5 GB up to 100,000 GB per order, and the ladder reaches $0.63/GB at 10,000 GB (pricing).

1. CleanProxies: the best Smartproxy alternative overall

The rotating residential configurator at the 10,000 GB tier: $0.63 per GB, paid once, data never expires. Screenshot: cleanproxies.com/products/rotating-residential-proxies, 31 October 2026.

CleanProxies covers the three products most Smartproxy users run (rotating residential, static ISP and mobile) and prices each one below Decodo at the same volume.

Rotating residential. 50M+ residential IPs in 190+ countries, with country, state and city targeting. Rotate on every request or keep a sticky session from 5 minutes up to 24 hours. Prices go from $0.99/GB at 100 GB and $0.84/GB at 1,000 GB down to $0.63/GB at 10,000 GB. There is no monthly plan to renew: you buy GB once and they stay in your account until you use them. You connect through one gateway with username:password over HTTP(S).

US ISP proxies. Static IPs on real US carrier ASNs (Comcast, Cox, Frontier, AT&T, RCN and T-Mobile ranges). Every IP is 100% dedicated and never shared, with 0 fraud score IPs, 100Gbps ports, under 20 ms average latency, 99.9% uptime and unlimited bandwidth and threads. Billed per IP per month: $1.29/IP at 250 IPs, $0.99/IP at 1,000 IPs, and as low as $0.75/IP at 10,000. You switch between username:password, IP whitelisting and SOCKS5 in the dashboard. Need whole ranges? ISP /24 subnets start at $1.19/IP per month.

The ISP configurator shows the whole public price ladder, down to $0.75 per IP at 10,000 IPs; the carrier is picked from a dropdown. Screenshot: cleanproxies.com/products/isp-proxies, 31 October 2026.

Mobile proxies. Real 4G/5G mobile IPs in 150+ countries, targeted by country and ASN, from $1.79/GB at 100 GB down to $0.79/GB at 10,000 GB. Like residential, the data never expires.

Checkout and delivery. Pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or crypto (BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC). You can check out with just an email, and proxies are delivered instantly: our live ISP orders went active 6 to 19 seconds after payment (measured from payment confirmation to proxy activation in our order records).

Guest checkout with a typed test email (not submitted): pay by card or crypto, no account needed first. Screenshot: cleanproxies.com/checkout, 31 October 2026.

Why it ranks #1

  • The cheapest pricing in the market on residential ($0.63/GB), ISP ($0.75/IP), subnets ($1.19/IP) and mobile ($0.79/GB).

  • Pay once: residential and mobile GB never expire, so a quiet month costs nothing.

  • Dedicated Tier-1 US carrier ISP IPs with unlimited bandwidth, 100Gbps ports and great 24/7 support.

Good to know

  • ISP proxies are US-focused and assigned by carrier, chosen at checkout (no state or city choice on static IPs). For city targeting, use rotating residential.

  • Rotating residential and mobile use username:password over HTTP(S); IP whitelisting and SOCKS5 are ISP options.

  • Sticky sessions last up to 24 hours. Mobile targeting is by country and ASN, sold as rotating data per GB.

  • AT&T ISP IPs have their own price ladder, shown in the configurator.

  • Purchases are final (no refunds or IP replacements), so there is a paid trial: $4.99 for 5 ISP IPs for 1 hour, or 100 MB of residential or mobile data.

2. Decodo (formerly Smartproxy): what you'd be switching from

Decodo's dedicated ISP plans, billed monthly plus VAT. Screenshot: decodo.com/proxies/isp-proxies/pricing (Dedicated tab), 1 November 2026.

Decodo sells three ISP models: dedicated IPs, shared IPs billed per GB, and shared IPs billed per IP. The dedicated ladder above runs from $3.33/IP for 3 IPs to $2.50/IP for 200 IPs, and the comparison table on the same page says dedicated starts "from $2/IP". The shared models are a different product (the IP is used by more than one customer); see its pricing page for those rates.

Decodo's mobile plans with the current 50% discount shown against list prices. Screenshot: decodo.com/proxies/mobile, 1 November 2026.

Pros

  • Familiar dashboard, browser extensions and many integration guides.

  • HTTP(S) and SOCKS5, with country, state, city, ZIP and ASN targeting on residential.

  • A 3-day free residential trial and a 14-day money-back option (the FAQ says the two can't be combined).

Cons

  • At 100 GB residential costs $2.75/GB billed monthly, versus $0.99/GB one-time on CleanProxies.

  • Dedicated ISP IPs list $2.50/IP at 200 IPs; CleanProxies dedicated IPs are $1.29/IP/month at 250 and as low as $0.75/IP/month.

  • Plans are billed every month plus VAT, and Pay As You Go ($4/GB) is bought one GB at a time and can't be held with a monthly plan.

3. Webshare

Webshare's rotating residential plans, billed monthly, with discounts shown against a $7.00/GB list price. Screenshot: webshare.io/pricing (Rotating Residential tab), 1 November 2026.

Webshare's rotating residential plans are monthly: $3.50/GB at 1 GB, $2.25/GB at 100 GB, $1.50/GB at 1,000 GB and $1.40/GB at 3,000 GB, each shown as a discount on a $7.00/GB list price. The plan size is the GB allowance for the month.

Pros

  • Self-serve checkout with monthly or yearly billing.

  • HTTP and SOCKS5 endpoints.

  • Country, city, state, ZIP and ASN filters.

Cons

  • 1,000 GB costs $1,500 a month, against $840 one-time on CleanProxies.

  • Its lowest listed rate ($1.40/GB) needs the $4,200-a-month 3,000 GB plan; our 2,500 GB tier is $0.80/GB.

  • A monthly allowance rather than a balance that carries over.

4. Oxylabs

Oxylabs' single subscription: the residential rate depends on the plan, from $6/GB to $2.5/GB at 1K+ GB. Screenshot: oxylabs.io/pricing/residential-proxy-pool, 1 November 2026.

Oxylabs sells one subscription that covers all of its products. On residential, Starter ($30/mo) and the free welcome credit are $6/GB, Basic ($100/mo) is $5/GB, Flexible ($500/mo) is $4/GB for up to 125 GB, and $2.5/GB applies at 1K+ GB on enterprise plans that start at $2,500 a month.

Pros

  • One subscription for residential, ISP, datacenter and scraping APIs.

  • HTTP(S), HTTP3 and SOCKS5; up to 10 whitelisted IPs.

  • $5 welcome credit to try it.

Cons

  • 100 GB sits on the $500 Flexible plan at $4/GB, four times our $0.99/GB.

  • $2.5/GB, its best listed residential rate, needs an enterprise plan from $2,500 a month.

  • Monthly subscription, no pay-once balance.

5. Bright Data

Bright Data's residential plans displayed with a 50%-off code for 3 months; list prices are crossed out ($8, $7, $6 and $5 per GB). Screenshot: brightdata.com residential proxies pricing, 1 November 2026.

Bright Data's residential page shows four options with a 50%-off code already applied for the first 3 months: pay as you go $4.00/GB (list $8), and monthly plans with 141 GB at $3.50/GB ($499), 332 GB at $3.00/GB ($999) and 798 GB at $2.50/GB ($1,999). It also offers to match a first deposit up to $500.

Pros

  • Very large pool (400M+ IPs listed) with country, state, city and ZIP targeting.

  • Broad enterprise toolset beyond proxies.

  • Deposit match for new accounts.

Cons

  • The displayed rates are a 3-month promo; list prices are $5 to $8/GB.

  • No plan near 1,000 GB is listed; 798 GB is $1,999 a month even with the code.

  • Monthly commitments, not a balance you keep.

Pricing checked 1 November 2026: brightdata.com. More options: Bright Data alternatives.

6. IPRoyal

IPRoyal's residential subscription plans; the $1.75/GB custom rate starts at 10 TB. Screenshot: iproyal.com/pricing/residential-proxies, 1 November 2026.

IPRoyal's residential traffic never expires, like ours, but its listed plans stop at 10 GB ($5.25/GB); the next published price is a custom $1.75/GB from 10 TB. Mobile runs from $6.80/GB (2 GB) to $5.20/GB (100 GB).

Pros

  • Traffic that never expires.

  • Sticky sessions up to 7 days.

  • Small plans for quick tests.

Cons

  • No listed residential plan between 10 GB and 10 TB.

  • 100 GB of mobile is $520, against $179 on CleanProxies.

  • ISP proxies are priced per proxy per lease, with no quantity tiers shown.

Pricing checked 1 November 2026: iproyal.com. More options: IPRoyal alternatives.

7. SOAX

SOAX's credit plans and the 60-day credit rollover row. Screenshot: soax.com/pricing, 1 November 2026.

SOAX sells credits on monthly plans (Builder $200, Team $500, Scale $1,500, Enterprise $3,000, all plus VAT). The per-GB rate depends on the plan and the country tier of the exit IP; its own calculator puts 100 GB of US (tier 1) traffic on Builder at $300, an effective $3/GB. Credits roll over for 60 days.

Pros

  • Residential and mobile on one credit balance.

  • A free Sandbox account to explore the dashboard.

  • Enterprise credits can roll over for up to 365 days.

Cons

  • Paid plans start at $200 a month plus VAT.

  • 100 GB of US traffic is $300 on Builder, three times our $99.

  • Credits roll over for 60 days below Enterprise; no static ISP product on its pricing page.

Pricing checked 1 November 2026: soax.com/pricing.

What the numbers mean for a Smartproxy user

If you buy residential every month, look at what one month of your real usage costs and what happens to the GB you don't use. Decodo, Webshare, Oxylabs and Bright Data bill a plan every month. CleanProxies charges once ($99 for 100 GB, $840 for 1,000 GB) and the GB stay in your account, so a slow month doesn't cost you.

If you run static IPs for accounts, ads or monitoring, compare dedicated IP to dedicated IP. Decodo's 200 dedicated IPs cost $500 a month. On CleanProxies, 250 dedicated US ISP IPs are $322.50 a month ($1.29/IP), with unlimited bandwidth on 100Gbps ports, and the price per IP keeps dropping to $0.75 at 10,000.

If you use mobile, check whether you are on a promo. Decodo's 100 GB mobile plan is $275 a month at today's 50%-off rate ($550 at list). CleanProxies is $179 for 100 GB, once, going as low as $0.79/GB at 10,000 GB.

If you're mid-contract, you don't need to cancel first. Start the $4.99 trial, run your workload against both within the trial (one hour on 5 ISP IPs, or 100 MB of residential or mobile data), and move volume when your numbers hold.

Feature fit: what to check before you switch

If your tools only need host, port and username:password, every one of these is a drop-in change. If you need SOCKS5 or IP whitelisting on CleanProxies, use the ISP product; rotating residential and mobile run over HTTP(S) with username:password.

Which Smartproxy alternative should you pick?

  • Scraping and data collection: CleanProxies rotating residential proxies, the lowest per-GB price in this comparison and GB that never expire. See the web scraping use case.

  • Accounts, ads and monitoring on static US IPs: CleanProxies US ISP proxies, dedicated Tier-1 carrier IPs as low as $0.75/IP with unlimited bandwidth.

  • Large static footprints: CleanProxies ISP /24 subnets from $1.19/IP.

  • Mobile traffic: CleanProxies mobile proxies in 150+ countries as low as $0.79/GB.

In each case the answer is CleanProxies: lower prices at every volume we compared, no monthly residential or mobile plan to burn through, and a dedicated US carrier network for static work. Before you move, check that your tools fit: residential and mobile use username:password over HTTP(S), sticky sessions run up to 24 hours, and mobile targeting is by country and ASN.

How to switch from Smartproxy (Decodo) in 10 minutes

  1. Write down your current usage: GB per month on residential and mobile, number of static IPs, countries, and whether your tools use username:password or IP whitelisting.

  2. Start the $4.99 trial (create an account): 5 ISP IPs for 1 hour, or 100 MB of residential or mobile data.

  3. Swap the endpoint. Decodo's residential gateway and ours both take a host, port and username:password, so in most tools you only change those three fields. Generate lines in the dashboard and test from a terminal:

# Rotating residential: use the username and password from your CleanProxies dashboard
curl -x http://USER:PASS@resipro.cleanproxies.com:5555 https://api.ipify.org

# Dedicated ISP proxy: lines come as ip:port:user:pass
curl -x http://USER:PASS@IP:PORT https://api.ipify.org

In Python requests, it is the same one-line change:

import requests

proxy = "http://USER:PASS@resipro.cleanproxies.com:5555" # was your Decodo gateway
r = requests.get("https://api.ipify.org", proxies={"http": proxy, "https": proxy}, timeout=30)
print(r.text)

Before you add credentials, you can confirm your network reaches our gateway. We ran this from our own server on 1 November 2026; the gateway answers with a 407 until a username and password are sent, which is the expected result:

$ curl -s -I -x http://resipro.cleanproxies.com:5555 https://api.ipify.org
HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Authentication Required
Proxy-Authenticate: Basic realm="Invalid credentials"
Connection: close

If you still see this 407 after switching, your tool is not sending the username:password (or it has a typo); our guide to fixing proxy errors covers 407s in detail.

  1. Check the exits. Paste them into our proxy checker, then confirm the owner and ASN of an ISP IP with the IP lookup tool. The screenshot below shows the kind of result to expect for a US carrier address (a public Comcast DNS address used as the example):

The free IP lookup tool on a public Comcast address: owner, network, ASN, country and registry. Screenshot: cleanproxies.com/tools/ip-lookup, 31 October 2026.
  1. Move volume once your success rate holds, picking the tier that matches your monthly usage on the pricing page. Our guide on how to test proxy quality has a full checklist.

Final verdict

CleanProxies is the best Smartproxy (Decodo) alternative in 2026: the cheapest pricing in the market on residential ($0.63/GB), US ISP ($0.75/IP), subnets ($1.19/IP) and mobile ($0.79/GB), GB that never expire, and a dedicated Tier-1 US carrier network with 100Gbps ports, under 20 ms latency, 99.9% uptime and great 24/7 support.

  • Decodo (Smartproxy): familiar, but $2.75/GB at 100 GB, $2/GB only on a 1 TB monthly plan, and $2.50/IP for dedicated ISP.

  • Webshare: simple, but $1,500 a month for 1,000 GB.

  • Oxylabs: one subscription for everything, but $4/GB at 100 GB.

  • Bright Data: huge pool, but the displayed rates are a 3-month promo on $5 to $8/GB list prices.

  • IPRoyal: traffic never expires, but no listed plan between 10 GB and 10 TB.

  • SOAX: flexible credits, but plans from $200 a month and $3/GB for 100 GB of US traffic.
