How to add CleanProxies to ixBrowser

In ixBrowser, click Create Profile, add a custom HTTP proxy with your CleanProxies host, port, username and password, and click Proxy Detection: ixBrowser only saves a manually added proxy after detection passes. Then create the profile.

What you need

ixBrowser treats proxies as shared resources: a proxy saved under Static Proxy can be bound to several profiles, and editing it changes all of them at once. That makes a strict one-proxy-per-profile habit important, and dedicated CleanProxies ISP IPs make it easy to keep.

Your credential line

From the dashboard's proxy manager: host (or IP), port, username and password. Convert lists with the proxy list formatter.

ixBrowser ready

  • The ixBrowser client installed and signed in.
  • For the Local API sample: Python 3.8+ with pip install ixbrowser-local-api, and the Local API enabled in the client.

Which proxy fits ixBrowser?

Both products use the same setup in ixBrowser. What changes is how long an IP stays with you.

One dedicated US ISP IP saved under Static Proxy and bound to exactly one profile. The IP never changes, so you'll never need to edit it, and nothing else shares it.

starting from$0.75/IP

Dedicated static IPs registered to US and Canadian ISPs. The address stays the same for as long as you hold it, with unlimited bandwidth and HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 access.

Sticky residential lines from the CleanProxies generator suit shorter logged-in sessions, one per profile. Turn on Disable Update Traffic so background updates don't use your GB.

starting from$0.63/GB

Residential IPs in 190+ countries with country, state and city targeting. Rotate on every request or hold a sticky session for up to 90 minutes; GB never expire.

credentials

Your CleanProxies credentials

Every product connects over HTTP(S); static ISP and ISP subnet proxies also run SOCKS5 and IP whitelisting. This is what the dashboard gives you to paste into ixBrowser.

Static ISP and ISP subnetHTTP(S)SOCKS5IP whitelist
IP:PORT:USER:PASS

One line per dedicated IP. With IP whitelisting on, the line is just IP:PORT and no password is sent.

Rotating residential and mobileHTTP(S)User:pass
HOST:PORT:USER:PASS

Generated in the proxy manager. The username carries the location and session you pick, so generate a new list to change them.

As a URL, for code and most toolshttp://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORTsocks5://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT

Use http:// even for HTTPS websites; the TLS session still runs end to end. The socks5:// form is for static ISP and ISP subnet proxies.

How to set up CleanProxies in ixBrowser

Four steps, then check the exit IP with the free proxy checker.

  1. 1

    Create a profile

    In Browser Profile, click Create Profile. Pick the Platform and enter a Profile Title; titles must be unique.

  2. 2

    Add a custom proxy

    In the proxy part of the form, choose a custom proxy and set the type to HTTP. ixBrowser also takes HTTPS, SOCKS5 and SSH; use SOCKS5 only for ISP lists with SOCKS5 switched on in your dashboard.

  3. 3

    Fill in and run Proxy Detection

    Enter the host, port, username and password from your CleanProxies line and click Proxy Detection. The dropdown next to the button switches the detection node if one is slow.

  4. 4

    Create the profile

    Once detection passes, finish with Create. To change it later, click the proxy IP on the profile's row; for many profiles, select them and use Batch Operation → Edit Proxy.

Create a profile with the Local API

Local API (Python)Python
from ixbrowser_local_api import IXBrowserClient, Profile, Proxy, Consts

c = IXBrowserClient()  # Local API on 127.0.0.1:53200

proxy = Proxy()
proxy.change_to_custom_mode(
    Consts.PROXY_TYPE_HTTP, "HOST", "PORT", "USERNAME", "PASSWORD"
)

p = Profile()
p.name = "us-isp-01"
p.site_url = "https://www.amazon.com"
p.proxy_config = proxy

result = c.create_profile(p)
print(result if result is not None else (c.code, c.message))
  • Use Consts.PROXY_TYPE_SOCKS5 for an ISP list with SOCKS5 switched on. On failure the client returns None and puts the reason in c.code and c.message.

Manage proxies under Static Proxy

  • Proxy Resources → Static Proxy → Batch Operation → Add in batches. Paste the lines in the format shown on the left of the window, run Proxy Detection, then confirm; duplicates are not added twice.
  • Add Tag labels each proxy (by client, team or site) so you can filter the list later.
  • Batch Operation → Batch Download exports the list to a spreadsheet.
  • Editing a saved proxy changes every profile bound to it. ixBrowser suggests no more than five profiles per static IP; for accounts you keep, use one.
  • ixBrowser currently supports IPv4 proxies only.

Fingerprint and preference settings

  • Set language and time zone in the fingerprint configuration to match the US ISP IP.
  • For WebRTC, choose Replace in the profile and add your local public IP under WebRTC extended configuration in the software settings, so it's swapped for the proxy IP. WebRTC calls use UDP, which CleanProxies doesn't carry.
  • Preference Settings → Display Proxy IP in Address Bar can be turned off before you share your screen.
  • Disable Update Traffic stops browser policy updates from using proxy data: handy on residential GB.

Troubleshooting ixBrowser proxy errors

Verify your exit IP

Proxy Detection must pass before a manual proxy is saved, and it shows the detected location. Open the profile and confirm the IP on what is my IP, and WebRTC on the WebRTC leak test, before logging in.

Open What is my IP? through the proxy to see the address and headers a website receives, or paste up to ten lines into the free proxy checker to test connectivity, latency and exit IP.

Still stuck? Our 24/7 support team answers fast: contact us with the error and the line you used (leave the password out).

ixBrowser error fixes
  • The proxy won't saveWhy: ixBrowser only saves a manually added proxy after Proxy Detection passes.Check the type and credentials, switch the detection node from the dropdown and run Proxy Detection again.
  • Editing one proxy changed several profilesWhy: The saved Static Proxy entry is bound to more than one profile.Give each profile its own ISP IP, then edit or replace proxies one profile at a time.
  • SOCKS5 detection failsWhy: The line is residential (HTTP(S) only), or SOCKS5 isn't switched on for that ISP list.Switch on SOCKS5 for the ISP list in your dashboard, or use HTTP.
  • The site flags a new profile anywayWhy: The same IP is shared by several profiles, or the fingerprint's timezone and language don't match the IP.Give every profile its own dedicated ISP IP and let the browser match timezone, geolocation and WebRTC to the proxy.
  • 407 or an authentication prompt inside the profileWhy: The password was pasted with a trailing space, or the line was split in the wrong order.Paste the full HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD line again from the dashboard.
