Cheapest Residential Proxies per GB in 2026 (Compared)

Team CleanProxies
10 Min Read

Searching for the cheapest residential proxies is a trap if you only look at the headline number. One provider's "$0.70/GB" needs a 1,000 GB purchase. Another's low rate is on a monthly plan that wipes unused data. A third charges extra for city targeting, a fourth bills traffic in both directions, and a fifth sources its pool from apps that never told users they were exit nodes. The rate that matters is what you pay per useful GB, after blocks, surcharges and expiry.

We compared eleven residential proxy providers on their own pricing pages, checked in October 2026: lowest listed rate, minimum purchase, expiry, what's included, and how the IPs are sourced. Then we explain the fine print that moves your real cost.

TL;DR

  • CleanProxies has the cheapest residential proxies in 2026: as low as $0.63/GB, the cheapest pricing in the market, with data that never expires.

  • Everything's included at that price: 50M+ IPs in 190+ countries (19.7 million in the US), state and city targeting with no surcharge, sticky sessions up to 90 minutes, unlimited threads and 0 fraud score IPs.

  • It pairs with the best US ISP proxies. CleanProxies specializes in US ISP proxies on Tier-1 carriers (Cox, Spectrum, Frontier, Verizon, Comcast, RCN, AT&T and T-Mobile) with unlimited bandwidth from $0.75/IP, often the cheapest option of all for heavy, repeat traffic.

What residential and ISP proxies are, and why IP quality decides cost

A rotating residential proxy routes each request (or each sticky session) through a real household connection from a large pool. A US ISP proxy is a static IP registered to a consumer carrier like Comcast or Spectrum and hosted on server hardware. Both carry the trust of a consumer network, which is what anti-bot systems check first.

For cost, that trust is everything. A cheap GB on a pool full of flagged IPs gets you CAPTCHA pages, retries and blocks, and you pay for every byte of them. A slightly pricier GB on clean IPs returns the data the first time. And for steady, heavy fetches of the same URLs, a flat-priced ISP proxy beats any per-GB rate.

1. CleanProxies: the lowest rate, with everything included

CleanProxies rotating residential is a one-time purchase that never expires, as low as $0.63/GB at the 10,000 GB tier, with 11 published tiers from 5 GB up, so you can see every rate without a sales call.

What's included at that price:

  • 50M+ residential IPs in 190+ countries, including 19.7 million in the US.

  • State and city targeting with no surcharge.

  • Rotation per request, or sticky sessions up to 90 minutes.

  • HTTP(S) and SOCKS5, username/password or IP whitelisting, and unlimited threads.

  • 0 fraud score IPs from genuine consumer home and mobile connections on Tier-1 networks.

  • A real-time usage dashboard, 99.9% uptime and 24/7 dedicated support from the team that also runs BartProxies.

The US ISP advantage. CleanProxies' specialty is US ISP proxies: dedicated IPs on Cox, Spectrum, Frontier, Verizon, Comcast and RCN, plus AT&T and T-Mobile, on 100Gbps ports with under 20 ms average latency and unlimited bandwidth, from $0.75/IP. Move your logged-in and repeat-fetch work there and your residential GB go further. Mobile proxies as low as $0.79/GB and VPS servers sit in the same account.

Because the data never expires, you can buy a bigger tier at a lower rate and use it over several months, which is how most teams get close to the $0.63 floor.

2. Rayobyte

Rayobyte's residential page lists $3.50/GB for 1–49 GB, $2/GB for 50–249 GB, $1.50/GB for 250–999 GB and $0.70/GB for 1,000–4,999 GB, with ZIP and ASN targeting.

Where it falls short: its floor is above CleanProxies' $0.63, the page doesn't state whether data expires, and its static ISP IPs start at $4.60 each at volume.

3. Evomi

Evomi's pricing page lists pay-as-you-go Core Residential at $0.99/GB from 15 GB down to $0.79/GB from 1,000 GB, and describes 54M+ "ethically sourced" IPs.

Where it falls short: its pay-as-you-go floor is $0.79 against CleanProxies' $0.63. Its free trial continues at the plan price unless cancelled, and refunds within 30 days are capped at 10% of the allowance or 1 GB.

4. DataImpulse

DataImpulse lists $1/GB (5 GB for $5 for new users, or 50 GB for $50) and $0.80/GB at 1 TB, with non-expiring traffic and 90M+ advertised IPs.

Where it falls short: country targeting is free, but city, state, ZIP and ASN targeting cost "a small extra fee." CleanProxies includes state and city targeting and goes lower per GB.

5. SOAX

SOAX charges US traffic from $5.00/GB (Sandbox) to from $0.85/GB on its $3,000/month Enterprise plan.

Where it falls short: the floor needs a $3,000 monthly commitment, credits on monthly plans expire after 60 days, and traffic is counted in both directions. See CleanProxies vs SOAX.

6. PacketStream

PacketStream charges a flat $1.00/GB with a $50 minimum and a non-expiring balance. Exits come from "Packeters" who run its desktop app and are paid $0.10 per GB shared.

Where it falls short: no volume discount below $1.00, no stated pool size, and sticky sessions up to 60 minutes against CleanProxies' 90.

7. Webshare, IPRoyal, Decodo, Oxylabs and Bright Data

These sit well above the floor:

What the numbers mean in practice

1. Success rate is part of the price. If 30% of requests come back blocked, you pay for that traffic too. As an illustration, $0.80/GB at a 70% success rate works out to $1.14 per useful GB. Clean IPs with a higher success rate keep the real rate close to the sticker rate.

2. Extras and expiry raise the effective rate. Targeting surcharges, VAT, minimum purchases and monthly resets all add up. A subscription you only half use costs you twice its sticker rate for every GB you actually use. Non-expiring GB never go to waste.

3. Page weight is the biggest lever. The median home page weighs 2.56 MB on mobile (HTTP Archive Web Almanac 2025), so 1,000 full page loads use about 2.5 GB. Blocking images, fonts and video, or fetching only HTML or JSON, often cuts traffic more than any price difference. Our Python, Playwright and Puppeteer guide shows how.

4. Heavy repeat traffic belongs on ISP IPs. If one identity or one monitoring job needs the same IP for days, a dedicated US ISP proxy from $0.75/IP with unlimited bandwidth costs less than metered residential, however much you fetch.

Key stats:

  • Residential IPs are a front line. Imperva's 2025 report found 21% of bot attacks used ISP-provided residential proxies (Thales summary), so sites score residential traffic carefully and pool quality matters.

  • Bot traffic keeps rising. Bots were 53% of internet traffic in 2025 and bad bots 40% (Thales 2026 Bad Bot Report).

How to cut your residential bill further

  • Use sticky sessions only where state matters. Rotate per request for lists and search pages; hold an IP only for carts, logins or pagination. See rotating vs sticky sessions.

  • Cache what doesn't change. Re-fetch prices and stock often, descriptions and images rarely.

  • Retry smartly. Back off and retry once from a new IP; instant repeated retries waste GB. Our list of proxy mistakes that cause bans covers the usual culprits.

  • Split the workload. Residential for wide discovery, dedicated US ISP proxies for the heavy, repeat fetches. One CleanProxies balance covers both.

Sourcing: the hidden cost of very cheap pools

Residential IPs come from real people's connections, and how a provider gets consent matters. In January 2026, Google disrupted the IPIDEA residential proxy network after finding its SDKs in more than 600 Android apps and seeing over 550 threat groups use its exit nodes in a single week. A pool built that way can vanish overnight, and its IPs may already be flagged. Look for a clear statement of how IPs are sourced. CleanProxies says its residential IPs come from genuine consumer home broadband and mobile connections on Tier-1 networks.

A note on minimums. A low rate that needs a $50 minimum, a 1,000 GB purchase or a $3,000 plan isn't the rate most buyers pay. CleanProxies publishes every tier from 5 GB up, so you always know the price for the volume you actually need.

Which one should you pick?

Pick CleanProxies. It has the lowest rate in this comparison, the data never expires, targeting is included, the IPs are clean, and the same account gives you unlimited-bandwidth US ISP proxies for the jobs where per-GB billing doesn't make sense.

What to test before you commit

  1. Price your real monthly volume, including VAT, targeting fees and minimums.

  2. Check whether unused data expires.

  3. Measure success rate and GB per page on your real target with assets blocked.

  4. Spot-check IPs with our free proxy checker.

  5. Buy the next tier up when you're close. With non-expiring data, nothing is wasted.

  6. Start with the $4.99 trial. The CleanProxies trial includes 100 MB of residential data, or 5 US ISP proxies for 1 hour.

It depends. Monthly plans and credit systems often reset or expire unused data. CleanProxies residential GB are a one-time purchase and never expire.

Because you also pay for blocked requests, targeting surcharges, VAT, minimum purchases and data that expires unused. Clean IPs with a high success rate and non-expiring data keep your cost per useful GB lowest.

When you push heavy, steady traffic through a fixed set of IPs, such as monitoring the same URLs or holding logins. CleanProxies US ISP proxies on Tier-1 carriers have unlimited bandwidth from $0.75/IP, so heavy use costs no more than light use.

Block images, fonts and video in headless browsers, fetch only HTML or JSON where possible, cache content that rarely changes, rotate only where state doesn't matter, and back off before retrying.
