CleanProxies vs SOAX: Residential and Mobile Proxy Pricing Compared (2026)

Team CleanProxies
9 Min Read

SOAX built its reputation on control: rotation by request count, timer or error, targeting down to ISP and ASN, traffic caps per package, domain allow-lists and scoped API keys. For a data team that wants to tune every knob, that's appealing. The cost is complexity in the billing. You pick a monthly plan, receive credits, pay a per-GB rate that depends on your plan and the country's tier, count traffic in both directions, and watch your credits expire after 60 days. And if your workflow needs a static IP for logins or checkouts, there's no ISP product on its pricing page at all.

This comparison sets CleanProxies against SOAX on what US buyers actually pay and what they get: per-GB rates at real volumes, expiry, sessions, product range, speed and support. SOAX's figures come from its own pages, checked in October 2026 and linked below; its prices exclude VAT.

TL;DR

  • CleanProxies wins on price. Residential as low as $0.63/GB and mobile as low as $0.79/GB, the cheapest pricing in the market, both below SOAX's best US rate of $0.85, which needs a $3,000-a-month plan.

  • CleanProxies wins on billing. Buy GB once and they never expire. No plan, no credits, no 60-day clock, no both-directions metering surprise.

  • CleanProxies wins on range. Its specialty is US ISP proxies on Tier-1 carriers (Cox, Spectrum, Frontier, Verizon, Comcast, RCN, AT&T and T-Mobile), 100% dedicated with 0 fraud score, unlimited bandwidth and 100Gbps ports, from $0.75/IP. SOAX doesn't list static ISP proxies.

What ISP proxies are, and why carrier IPs matter

An ISP proxy is a static IPv4 address registered to a consumer internet provider and hosted on server hardware. Sites see a carrier like Comcast or Spectrum in the ASN lookup and trust it like a household, while you keep the same IP at server speed. Rotating residential and mobile proxies are perfect for wide data collection, but logins, checkouts and account management need an IP that doesn't change, and that's the job ISP proxies do. A provider without them leaves a gap in most real workflows.

CleanProxies: the US ISP proxy specialist

CleanProxies sells what it calls the cleanest ISP proxies on the internet, and its specialty is US ISP. Every ISP proxy is a real USA IP on Cox, Spectrum, Frontier, Verizon, Comcast or RCN, plus AT&T and T-Mobile, 100% dedicated with a 0 fraud score, unlimited bandwidth and threads, on 100Gbps ports in Ashburn, Virginia with under 20 ms average latency and 99.9% uptime. Prices go as low as $0.75/IP. It's built by the same team that runs BartProxies.

Rotating residential: 50M+ IPs in 190+ countries, including 19.7 million in the US, with state and city targeting, rotation per request or per session, and sticky sessions up to 90 minutes. As low as $0.63/GB, a one-time purchase that never expires.

Mobile: 10M+ real 4G/5G IPs on AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and more, with state and city targeting, rotating or sticky per request. As low as $0.79/GB, never expires.

ISP subnets: dedicated /24 blocks from $1.19/IP.

Servers: VPS from $24/month and bare metal from $125/month, next to the proxy network.

Connect your way: HTTP(S) or SOCKS5, username/password or IP whitelisting, unlimited threads. Support: 24/7 at help@cleanproxies.com.

SOAX: what it sells, and where it falls short

SOAX's pricing page is built around monthly plans that include credits:

PlanMonthly priceUS (Tier 1) rate per GB
SandboxFree (no included credits)$5.00
Builder$200 + VAT$3.00
Team$500 + VAT$2.20
Scale$1,500 + VAT$1.50
Enterprise$3,000 + VATfrom $0.85

According to its homepage and residential page, you can rotate per request, after a set number of requests, on a timer or on error; target by ISP or ASN; set traffic caps and domain allow/block lists; and use HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5. Its mobile page lists 3G/4G/5G connections.

Where it falls short:

  • The best rate needs a $3,000 plan, and it's still above CleanProxies' floor.

  • Credits expire. On monthly plans, each block expires 60 days after purchase.

  • Both directions count. SOAX's FAQ says traffic is charged by data transferred in both directions.

  • No free trial, and payments are generally non-refundable.

  • No static ISP proxies, subnets or servers on the pricing page, so logins and checkouts need a second provider.

  • Prices exclude VAT.

Why residential buyers still need ISP proxies

Most teams that buy SOAX-style residential traffic eventually hit a job rotation can't do. A seller account needs to log in from the same address every day. A checkout has to finish on the IP it started on. A monitoring job polls the same few hundred URLs every hour, and paying per GB for that is the most expensive way to run it. Each of those is a static ISP job.

That's why CleanProxies leads with US ISP proxies. A dedicated IP on Comcast, Spectrum, Verizon or another Tier-1 carrier, with a 0 fraud score and unlimited bandwidth, handles the stable half of your workload at a flat price from $0.75/IP. Rotating residential handles the wide half at $0.63/GB. Both sit in one account and one balance, so you never have to bolt a second provider onto your stack.

Switching from SOAX

  1. Work out your real monthly GB from SOAX's usage stats, remembering that SOAX counts traffic in both directions.

  2. Buy the matching CleanProxies tier. Because the GB never expire, you can buy ahead at a lower rate and use it over several months.

  3. Replace rotation rules with sessions. Use per-request rotation for crawling and a sticky session (up to 90 minutes) where SOAX rotated on a timer. Move anything that must hold an IP for days to US ISP proxies.

  4. Re-create targeting at country, state or city level.

  5. Run real traffic side by side before letting your SOAX credits run out.

What the numbers mean in practice

Monthly US trafficCleanProxies residentialCleanProxies mobileSOAX (residential or mobile)
1,000 GB$840$1,290$1,500 (Scale) + VAT
10,000 GB$6,300 ($0.63/GB)$7,900 ($0.79/GB)Enterprise plans from $0.85/GB
Lowest listed rate$0.63/GB$0.79/GBfrom $0.85/GB on a $3,000/month plan

At 1,000 GB of US residential, CleanProxies is $660 cheaper a month before SOAX adds VAT, and you don't need a $1,500 plan to get there. Mobile is $210 cheaper at the same volume.

Expiry is a hidden cost. If a project pauses for two months, SOAX credits from a monthly plan expire. CleanProxies GB wait for you. Because they never expire, you can buy ahead at a lower rate, say 1,000 GB at $0.84/GB, and use it over several months.

No plan means no minimum. On SOAX, getting below $3.00/GB in the US starts with a $500 monthly plan, and the lowest rate starts at $3,000 a month. On CleanProxies, the published tiers are the price: buy the volume you need, when you need it.

Metering in both directions means uploads, request headers and form posts count too. For scrapers, that's small; for automation that submits data or uploads media, it adds up.

Control vs simplicity. SOAX's rotation rules are flexible. CleanProxies covers what most jobs need with less to configure: rotate per request for crawling, hold a sticky IP for up to 90 minutes for carts and pagination, and use a dedicated ISP IP for anything that lasts days. Our guide to rotating vs sticky sessions explains the trade-offs.

Key stats:

  • Bots are the majority of traffic. Bots made up 53% of internet traffic in 2025 and bad bots 40%, according to the Thales 2026 Bad Bot Report. Daily AI-driven bot attacks rose from 2 million to 25 million between 2024 and 2025.

  • Mobile carries a big share of requests. Cloudflare's 2025 Year in Review found 43% of requests came from mobile devices.

  • Carrier IPs are shared by design. Carrier-grade NAT is used in over 92% of cellular networks (Richter et al., 2016), which is why sites hesitate to block mobile IPs.

What to test before you commit

  1. Pick one real target and workload, such as 2,000 product pages from a US retailer you're allowed to collect from.

  2. Match the settings: same state, same rotation, same headers, same concurrency.

  3. Measure success rate, median response time and GB used, with images, fonts and video blocked.

  4. Work out cost per 1,000 successful pages at the real rate for your volume, including VAT and expiry.

  5. Spot-check the IPs with our free proxy checker.

  6. Start with the $4.99 trial. The CleanProxies trial covers a test like this with 100 MB of residential or mobile data, or 5 US ISP proxies for 1 hour. Both providers support HTTP(S) and SOCKS5, and our proxy list formatter converts your new lines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. CleanProxies has the cheapest pricing in the market: residential as low as $0.63/GB and mobile as low as $0.79/GB, both below SOAX's lowest listed US rate of $0.85/GB, which requires its $3,000-a-month Enterprise plan. At 1,000 GB of US residential, CleanProxies costs $840 against $1,500 on SOAX's Scale plan.

SOAX sells monthly plans that include credits (Builder $200, Team $500, Scale $1,500, Enterprise $3,000, plus VAT), and the per-GB rate depends on your plan and the target country's tier. Residential and mobile cost the same, and traffic is counted in both directions.

On monthly plans, each block of credits expires 60 days after purchase (12 months on annual plans). CleanProxies residential and mobile GB never expire.

SOAX's pricing page doesn't list static ISP proxies. CleanProxies specializes in them: dedicated US ISP IPs on Cox, Spectrum, Frontier, Verizon, Comcast, RCN, AT&T and T-Mobile, with unlimited bandwidth, from $0.75/IP.

No. Its Sandbox plan is free but includes no credits, so you buy top-ups at Sandbox rates, and SOAX says payments are generally non-refundable. CleanProxies offers a $4.99 trial with 5 US ISP proxies for 1 hour or 100 MB of residential or mobile data.

CleanProxies ISP proxies run on 100Gbps ports with under 20 ms average latency and 99.9% uptime. SOAX lists 99.9% uptime and doesn't publish port speeds on the pages we checked.
