Google Play: gl and hl
Google Play web pages take gl (country) and hl (language) parameters and also read the IP. Match gl to the proxy country.
ASO teams and app publishers track where apps rank for keywords, which apps lead the top charts, and how ratings and prices differ by country. Both stores are national: what ranks in the US says little about Brazil or Japan. Official consoles cover your own apps, and proxies give you the public, country-by-country view.
How Google Play & App Store localises, limits and checks traffic, and what that means for your setup.

In the App Store app, the storefront is tied to the Apple ID's country, not the IP. On the web, apps.apple.com pages carry a country code in the URL, such as /us/ or /jp/.
App Store Connect and Google Play Console report your own apps' impressions, conversion, ratings and reviews. For public lookups, Apple's iTunes Search API returns app details by country.
Both stores slow or block rapid repeated requests, and the iTunes Search API is rate-limited. Spread checks out and cache what doesn't change.
Our recommendation for Google Play & App Store, and when the second option is the better choice.
Store search, charts and listings are per country. Rotating residential proxies in 190+ countries put each web check in the right storefront, with a new IP per query.
Residential IPs in 190+ countries with country, state and city targeting. Rotate on every request or hold a sticky session for up to 90 minutes; GB never expire.
For QA on a test phone, mobile proxies in 150+ countries give the device a carrier IP in the target country. On the App Store the Apple ID's country still decides the storefront, so this suits Google Play and web checks best.
4G/5G IPs on mobile carrier networks in 150+ countries, rotating or sticky, for traffic that should look like a phone.
Every CleanProxies proxy connects over HTTP(S) with the credentials in your dashboard; ISP and ISP subnet proxies also run SOCKS5. Test them with the free proxy checker and convert lists with the proxy list formatter.
Decide which apps and keywords you track and in which storefronts.
Export your own metrics from the consoles and use the iTunes Search API for public metadata.
Use a residential IP in the country, with gl and hl on Google Play or the country code in the apps.apple.com URL.
Save ranks, chart positions, ratings and prices with storefront and date so trends stay clear.
Apple's and Google's developer terms forbid manipulating rankings, ratings and reviews, including fake or incentivised installs and reviews. Use proxies for public ranking and listing checks, and the official consoles and APIs for your own app data. No. The App Store storefront follows your Apple ID's country, which also needs a payment method from that country. Proxies help with web checks of public store pages.
