What Is an Anti-Detect Browser?

An anti-detect browser is a browser built to run many separate profiles on one computer, each with its own cookies, storage, browser fingerprint settings and proxy. Agencies and teams use them to keep their own accounts and client profiles cleanly separated.

how it works

How anti-detect browsers work

Each profile is an isolated browser environment. It stores its own cookies, local storage and cache, and it presents a fixed set of fingerprint values: user agent, screen size, time zone, language, fonts and graphics details. A profile keeps the same values every time it opens, so the account behind it sees one consistent device.

Every profile also gets its own proxy. When the profile starts, all of its traffic goes through that proxy, so each profile appears from its own IP address. Most tools let teams share profiles between members with access controls, so a social media manager and a client can open the same profile without passing passwords around.

why it matters

Why anti-detect browsers matter for proxy users

A profile is only as consistent as its proxy. If a profile that claims a New York time zone connects from an IP in another state, or switches IP on every launch, the account sees an inconsistent device. The usual setup is one dedicated static IP per profile, kept for as long as the profile exists, in the location the account normally uses. See proxies for multi-accounting for team setups.

Setup guides for common tools, such as Multilogin and AdsPower, show where to enter the proxy. CleanProxies static ISP proxies give each profile a dedicated US IP that stays the same all month.

Anti-detect browser: what it means for you
  • Assign one static IP per profile and never share it between profiles.
  • Keep a record of which IP belongs to which profile, so nobody on the team reuses one by accident.
  • Match the profile's time zone and language to the IP's location.
  • Run the WebRTC leak test inside each new profile to confirm only the proxy IP is visible.
  • Follow each platform's rules on multiple accounts; many offer business managers and agency access for exactly this work.

A dedicated static IP per profile, such as an ISP proxy, because the account sees the same address every session. A long sticky session is a second choice when you need a location a static IP cannot provide.
