How to add CleanProxies to Multilogin X
In Multilogin X, create or edit a browser profile, choose Custom in the Proxy step, pick HTTP or SOCKS5 and paste your CleanProxies line as HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD. Multilogin checks the proxy automatically; then click Create and Start.
What you need
- An active CleanProxies plan: static ISP proxies for fixed US IPs, or rotating residential / mobile proxies for pools. The trial works too.
- Your credential line from the dashboard's proxy manager: host (or IP), port, username and password.
- The Multilogin X app installed and signed in.
- One proxy line per profile you plan to run.

Your CleanProxies credentials
| Product | Line in your dashboard | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Static ISP proxies | IP:PORT:USER:PASS | One line per dedicated IP. With IP whitelisting turned on, the line is just IP:PORT and no password is sent. |
| Rotating residential and mobile | HOST:PORT:USER:PASS | Generated in the proxy manager. The username carries the location and session you pick, so generate a new list to change them. |
Most tools want the same details as a URL: http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT for HTTP(S) or socks5://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORT for SOCKS5. The examples on this page use those placeholders; copy the host, port, username and password from your CleanProxies dashboard. To convert a whole list at once, paste it into the proxy list formatter.
How to set up CleanProxies in Multilogin
- 1
Create a profile
Go to Profiles → Browser → Create. Name the profile and choose the browser core and OS. - 2
Open the Proxy step and choose Custom
The Proxy step offers Multilogin, Custom, Template or None. Pick Custom to use your own CleanProxies IP. - 3
Pick the protocol and paste the line
Select HTTP (or SOCKS5), then pasteHOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORDfrom your dashboard. Multilogin runs its proxy check and shows Proxy check passed or the reason it failed. - 4
Create and start
Click Create, then Start. To change the proxy of an existing profile later, open the profile settings and edit its Proxy section.
Proxy formats Multilogin X accepts
The custom proxy field takes one line in either of these forms; the protocol is chosen in the dropdown, not in the line.
HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORDIP:PORTProxy templates for many profiles
Proxy templates save a proxy (or a list) once and assign it to many profiles. In the left menu open Proxy templates → Create, set the type to Custom and the format to One proxy or Proxy list. A list takes up to 25 lines and can be used sequentially or randomly. Assign profiles with Manage assigned profiles, or pick Template in a profile's Proxy section.
Quick profiles have the same One proxy / Proxy list choice, which is handy for one-off sessions on a rotating residential list.
- Use a template per team or per client so a proxy change is one edit, not dozens.
- For account farms, keep a 1:1 mapping of profile to ISP IP instead of a random list, so each account always logs in from the same address.
Match the fingerprint to the proxy
In the Fingerprint section, Timezone, WebRTC and Geolocation default to Masked, which aligns them with the proxy IP. Keep those defaults: a US ISP IP with a European timezone is an easy signal for anti-fraud systems.
Static ISP vs rotating residential in Multilogin
Static ISP proxies
The best fit for Multilogin. Each profile gets one 100% dedicated US ISP IP that never changes and is never shared, so every login comes from the same address with unlimited bandwidth.
Rotating residential proxies
Generate a sticky list in the CleanProxies dashboard and paste one line per profile: the IP holds for the session length you chose. Use rotating lines only for disposable, logged-out browsing such as ad checks.
Verify your exit IP
The proxy check reports whether the connection worked. After starting the profile, open a new tab and confirm the IP and location there before you log in to anything.
Open What is my IP? through the proxy to see the address and headers a website receives, or paste up to ten lines into the free proxy checker to test connectivity, latency and exit IP before you start.
Troubleshooting Multilogin proxy errors
| Problem | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Proxy check failed | Wrong protocol selected (HTTP vs SOCKS5) or a typo in the line. | Choose HTTP for the standard CleanProxies line and paste it again; try SOCKS5 only with SOCKS5 credentials. |
| Profile shows your real location | Proxy set to None, or a template that was never assigned. | Open the profile's Proxy section and select Custom or the right template. |
| The site flags a new profile anyway | The same IP is shared by several profiles, or the fingerprint's timezone and language don't match the IP. | Give every profile its own dedicated ISP IP and let the browser match timezone, geolocation and WebRTC to the proxy. |
| 407 or an authentication prompt inside the profile | The password was pasted with a trailing space, or the line was split in the wrong order. | Paste the full HOST:PORT:USERNAME:PASSWORD line again from the dashboard. |

Multilogin proxy FAQs
Static ISP proxies: one dedicated IP per profile that never rotates, on a real US carrier, with unlimited bandwidth. Rotating residential sticky sessions work for shorter, logged-out tasks.
