An active CleanProxies plan
Static ISP proxies for fixed US IPs, or rotating residential / mobile proxies for pools. The $4.99 trial works too.
In the Postman desktop app, open Settings → Proxy and turn on Use custom proxy configuration. Keep HTTP and HTTPS ticked under Use proxy for, choose HTTP as the Proxy server type, enter your CleanProxies host and port, then turn on Proxy auth and enter your username and password.
Postman sends every API call from your own machine, so the API sees your office or home IP. Routing it through a CleanProxies static ISP proxy gives your requests one fixed US address you can add to your own API firewall allowlist, and lets you check how a geo-aware endpoint answers callers from the US.

From the dashboard's proxy manager: host (or IP), port, username and password. Convert lists with the proxy list formatter.
Both products use the same setup in Postman. What changes is how long an IP stays with you.
Recommended. Every request leaves from one dedicated US ISP IP that stays the same all month, so you can add it once to your own API gateway or firewall allowlist and test from a fixed US location with unlimited bandwidth.
Dedicated static IPs registered to US and Canadian ISPs. The address stays the same for as long as you hold it, with unlimited bandwidth and HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 access.
Use a sticky residential line when you need to see how your API answers callers from a specific country; the IP holds for the session length you chose. A rotating line can change IP between requests, which makes a series of calls hard to compare.
Residential IPs in 190+ countries with country, state and city targeting. Rotate on every request or hold a sticky session for up to 90 minutes; GB never expire.
Every product connects over HTTP(S); static ISP and ISP subnet proxies also run SOCKS5 and IP whitelisting. This is what the dashboard gives you to paste into Postman.
IP:PORT:USER:PASSOne line per dedicated IP. With IP whitelisting on, the line is just IP:PORT and no password is sent.
HOST:PORT:USER:PASSGenerated in the proxy manager. The username carries the location and session you pick, so generate a new list to change them.
http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORTsocks5://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORTUse http:// even for HTTPS websites; the TLS session still runs end to end. The socks5:// form is for static ISP and ISP subnet proxies.
Four steps, then check the exit IP with the free proxy checker.
Click the settings icon in the header, choose Settings, then open the Proxy tab.
Under the proxy configurations for sending requests, turn on Use custom proxy configuration. Keep HTTP and HTTPS selected in Use proxy for.
In Proxy server, pick HTTP in the dropdown, then type the CleanProxies host (without http://) and the port in their own boxes.
Turn on Proxy auth and enter your username and password. With an ISP proxy on IP whitelisting, leave Proxy auth off. Close Settings and send a request.
Replace the highlighted placeholders with the values from your dashboard.
pm.test("Request left through the proxy", () => {
const { ip } = pm.response.json();
console.log("Exit IP:", ip);
pm.expect(ip).to.be.a("string");
});https:// requests leave from your own IP.localhost,127.0.0.1,api.internal.example.The custom proxy is the one you want: it sends the requests you build in Postman out through CleanProxies. Use system proxy instead follows your operating system's proxy and can also read HTTP_PROXY, HTTPS_PROXY and NO_PROXY; if both are on, Postman uses the custom proxy.
Postman's built-in capture proxy is a different feature. It listens on your machine to record traffic from a browser or another app into Postman. It doesn't send anything through CleanProxies, so don't point it at your proxy line.
Create a GET request to https://api.ipify.org?format=json and click Send. The response is the IP the API sees; it should be your proxy's address, not yours. The Post-response script below prints it to the Postman Console for every run.
Open What is my IP? through the proxy to see the address and headers a website receives, or paste up to ten lines into the free proxy checker to test connectivity, latency and exit IP.
