An active CleanProxies plan
Static ISP proxies for fixed US IPs, or rotating residential / mobile proxies for pools. The $4.99 trial works too.
In Firefox, open Settings → General, scroll to Proxy settings and click Configure proxy. Choose Manual proxy configuration, enter your CleanProxies host in HTTP Proxy and the port in Port, tick Also use this proxy for HTTPS and click OK. Firefox asks for the username and password on the first page.
Unlike Chrome, Edge and Safari, Firefox has its own proxy settings, separate from the operating system. That makes it an easy second browser that always leaves from a dedicated CleanProxies ISP IP, while the rest of the computer stays on your normal connection.

From the dashboard's proxy manager: host (or IP), port, username and password. Convert lists with the proxy list formatter.
Both products use the same setup in Firefox. What changes is how long an IP stays with you.
The best fit: one dedicated US ISP IP that stays the same all month, so Firefox becomes a stable second identity with unlimited bandwidth, separate from your main browser.
Dedicated static IPs registered to US and Canadian ISPs. The address stays the same for as long as you hold it, with unlimited bandwidth and HTTP(S) or SOCKS5 access.
Use a sticky residential line when you check a page from another country, so the IP holds for the session length you chose. Rotating lines change IP on new connections, which breaks logins.
Residential IPs in 190+ countries with country, state and city targeting. Rotate on every request or hold a sticky session for up to 90 minutes; GB never expire.
Every product connects over HTTP(S); static ISP and ISP subnet proxies also run SOCKS5 and IP whitelisting. This is what the dashboard gives you to paste into Firefox.
IP:PORT:USER:PASSOne line per dedicated IP. With IP whitelisting on, the line is just IP:PORT and no password is sent.
HOST:PORT:USER:PASSGenerated in the proxy manager. The username carries the location and session you pick, so generate a new list to change them.
http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORTsocks5://USERNAME:PASSWORD@HOST:PORTUse http:// even for HTTPS websites; the TLS session still runs end to end. The socks5:// form is for static ISP and ISP subnet proxies.
Four steps, then check the exit IP with the free proxy checker.
Open the menu → Settings → General and scroll to the bottom. Under Proxy settings click Configure proxy (in ESR 140 and older: Network Settings → Settings…). You can also type proxy in the settings search box.
In Configure Proxy Access to the Internet, select Manual proxy configuration.
Put your CleanProxies host in HTTP Proxy and the port in Port, tick Also use this proxy for HTTPS so secure sites use it too, and click OK.
Load any page and enter the proxy username and password when Firefox asks. Save them in Firefox's password manager and tick Do not prompt for authentication if password is saved to skip the prompt next time.
Replace the highlighted placeholders with the values from your dashboard.
To set up many Firefox profiles the same way, put these preferences in a user.js file in the profile folder (find it at about:profiles). Firefox applies them at every start. network.proxy.type 1 is Manual proxy configuration; the ssl pair is the HTTPS proxy.
user_pref("network.proxy.type", 1);
user_pref("network.proxy.http", "HOST");
user_pref("network.proxy.http_port", PORT);
user_pref("network.proxy.ssl", "HOST");
user_pref("network.proxy.ssl_port", PORT);Open What is my IP? in Firefox and confirm the address and location, then run the WebRTC leak test. If WebRTC shows your real IP, set media.peerconnection.enabled to false in about:config, which turns WebRTC off.
Open What is my IP? through the proxy to see the address and headers a website receives, or paste up to ten lines into the free proxy checker to test connectivity, latency and exit IP.
